NALS
of Michigan will again award two $1,000 scholarships in May of 2009. The
scholarships will be available to members or non-members of NALS of Michigan, to
students enrolled in a school or advanced education in the legal field. Complete
the application and follow the instructions in the regulations section. To
obtain an application please click on the link below. The deadline
for applications is January 15, 2009. If you have

Traci Joseph, Certified Professional

Traci Joseph, PP, obtained her associates degree
from Northwestern Michigan College in paralegal studies, graduating
cum laude, and received the divisional scholarship in 1998.
She immediately began working at Reed & Sharp, which became Garan Lucow
Miller P.C. in 1999. In 2006, she returned to school to continue
her studies. Currently, she attends Grand Valley State University
(Traverse City campus), where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in
liberal arts. She expects to graduate in fall of 2008 and then
begin Cooley Law School in winter of 2009.
She is an active member of Grand Traverse Area Legal Professionals
(GTALP), the local chapter of a multi-level association, and has served
as the certification chair, banquet co-chair, legal professional of the
year chair, and vice-president. On the state level she has
assisted with annual meeting for the last two years. Additionally,
in 2005 she earned a Professional Paralegal certification, and is
the recipient of the local Legal Professional of the Year award.
Traci resides in Elk Rapids, MI with her husband and four children.
