NALS of Michigan is the state-level association of NALS ... the association of legal professionals. We just celebrated our 50th year of serving members in Michigan!
NALS of Michigan is an organization open to all legal support staff including, but not limited to, paralegals, legal assistants, legal secretaries, court clerks, court reporters, etc.
As a member of NALS of Michigan, you automatically become a member of the national-level organization.
As a member, you receive @Law (the NALS Magazine for Legal Professionals), the Region 3 Connection (Region 3's newsletter), and the Official Record, the state association newsletter.
With your membership you can also elect to have E-Learn and E-News sent to you without having to go to the national web site. NALS also offers online training courses for CLE credits in the web site's Online Learning Center. Members can also receive additional education by attending chapter meetings, state meetings, the NALS Professional Development Conference every March in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Region 3 Conferences held every summer, and the NALS Educational Conference held every October. Through NALS you can also receive certification as an ALS (Accredited Legal Secretary), PLS (Professional Legal Secretary) and PP (Professional Paralegal).
Another important benefit to becoming a NALS member is the networking opportunity each member enjoys. You will meet fellow professionals from around the state and the country who will be there when you have a question about creating and/or filing a document out of your area of practice or even outside your state.
